Your brain is like a Wi-Fi signal—sometimes strong, sometimes weak, and occasionally just needs a reset. At Ease Counseling is here to help you find a better connection with the services offered below.
We believe meaningful change requires more than insight alone. Many people come to therapy understanding why they struggle, yet still feel stuck in the same emotional, relational, or nervous system patterns. (If you’ve ever said, “I know where this comes from, but I still react this way,” you’re not alone.) Our work is designed to help bridge that gap — integrating relational safety, cognitive insight, and nervous system processing to create durable, root-level change.
Our approach integrates evidence-based modalities including EMDR, trauma-informed cognitive work, nervous system regulation, and attachment-focused therapy within a warm, collaborative therapeutic relationship.
Lasting psychological change happens when insight, emotional processing, and nervous system regulation work together.
Relationship-first therapy grounded in trust and emotional safety
Cognitive insight and pattern identification
EMDR and trauma processing
Nervous system regulation and somatic awareness
Compassion paired with meaningful challenge and accountability
Building safety and stabilization
Understanding patterns and core beliefs
Processing unresolved trauma and emotional experiences
Supporting nervous system integration
Translating therapeutic gains into sustainable life change
Motivated for deeper therapeutic work
Looking for a collaborative and engaged therapeutic relationship
Have often tried therapy before but still feel "stuck"
Open to self-reflection, feedback, and growth
Seeking long-term healing rather than short-term symptom management
Want to better understand and change long-standing emotional or relational patterns
Brief solution-focused therapy only
Court-mandated treatment
High-volume or purely symptom-management-based care
At Ease Counseling offers both in-person and virtual sessions because we know that everyone’s comfort zone is different. Prefer to sit face-to-face in a cozy office? We’ve got you. Want to chat from the comfort of your couch (or let’s be real, your bed) in pajamas? Virtual sessions are just a click away.
No matter which option you choose, you’ll get the same compassionate, brain-science-backed support—whether that’s in a chair across from us or through a screen with your dog making a guest appearance.
Depth-oriented individual therapy for adults experiencing:
Trauma and complex trauma
Anxiety and chronic stress
Relationship and attachment difficulties
Emotional dysregulation
Persistent self-esteem or identity struggles
Burnout and nervous system overwhelm
Repetitive emotional or behavioral patterns
Treatment integrates cognitive insight with nervous system-focused approaches to support lasting change rather than temporary symptom relief.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based trauma treatment designed to help the brain and nervous system process unresolved experiences that continue to impact present-day functioning.
EMDR may help with:
Trauma and PTSD
Anxiety and panic
Disturbing memories
Negative core beliefs
Chronic emotional reactivity
Attachment wounds
Performance-related distress
At At Ease Counseling, EMDR is integrated into a broader relational and trauma-informed framework rather than used as a stand-alone protocol. In other words, we care less about “doing a technique” and more about helping you actually feel different in your daily life.
Many clients understand their patterns intellectually but still feel emotionally “stuck.” Nervous system-focused work helps bridge the gap between awareness and lasting relief.
This work may include:
Somatic awareness
Emotional regulation skills
Identifying survival responses
Reducing chronic activation and shutdown patterns
Increasing capacity for emotional safety and connection
Our goal is helping clients feel differently — not just think differently. Your nervous system deserves at least as much attention as your inner critic.
At Ease Counseling was originally founded with a strong focus on perinatal mental health, and that work remains an important part of our practice today. We specialize in supporting women experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, including postpartum anxiety, depression, OCD, birth trauma, burnout, and the identity shifts that often accompany motherhood.
Our approach integrates relationship-first therapy, nervous system regulation, and trauma-informed care to help clients move beyond survival mode and into deeper stability, connection, and healing. Whether you feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, constantly on edge, or like you’ve lost parts of yourself in the transition to parenthood, our goal is to provide thoughtful, grounded support that helps you feel understood — not judged.
We offer couples therapy on a limited and selective basis when relational dynamics are closely connected to trauma, attachment patterns, or nervous system responses impacting the relationship.
Couples work is not a primary service line and availability is limited. We also believe one emotionally aware partner dragging the other into therapy “for maintenance” is usually not the same thing as genuine readiness for couples work.

Compassionate enough to feel safe. Honest enough to create change.
Parenting a neurodivergent child can feel overwhelming, especially when every article, video, and professional seems to offer different answers. Our autism consultation services are designed to help parents better understand their child’s nervous system, behavior patterns, sensory needs, and emotional regulation through a neuroscience-informed lens.
We provide practical, evidence-based guidance for challenges like:
sensory sensitivities
emotional meltdowns
communication struggles
routines and transitions
parent-child connection and co-regulation
This is not one-size-fits-all parenting advice. It’s thoughtful, individualized support designed to help you better understand your child — and respond with more confidence, clarity, and connection.
And yes, ideally enough structure that your coffee occasionally stays warm.
